Is there a market for a new blogging platform?
Recently, I started building a blogging platform just because I can. This platform is not different from WordPress or Ghost. Just a beautifully designed CMS and few themes.
The development is almost complete. Just looking to see if marketing it and trying to get people to use it is worth the time seeing how WordPress and Ghost are leading the market.
What segment of customers do you think I should focus on in the next few months?
I just want to see if the market is receptive for a new blogging platform.
I'm sure you can find a niche, but there's no reason for people to move to something new if it's no different or more specialized than the popular platforms.
try to be a big fish in a small pond, dominate a particular segment then move onto to the full spectrum of bloggers

Very exciting! I wonder if it might help you to think of specific scenarios that a person or company would choose your product over another. This may help you hone in on specific user types.
Is it easier to setup? A better user experience? Requires less training and or maintenance?
One factor that seems to divide users is, how easy a platform is to set up and get running. I.e. the easier to set up, the more mainstream customers you might attract as they have less technical knowledge.
I'd love to see it!
I think there's definitely room for improvement in the blogging space. I'm personally not a fan of Wordpress; I think it's too bloated.
Unfortunately, I also don't have a specific set of customers you can target. But as a developer, I'd be open to trying anything that I can make templates for 🤷🏽♂️

Interesting approach, why didn't you do your market research before building it? What are the features that make your platform better at solving blogger's issues than what's currently available? I would start from that!
I didn't plan to pursue this as a business.
It happened that I have built an awesome blogging platform, I have few thousand dollars in AWS credit, my day job gives me a little time to work on other things, and I don't have other products to spend time on at the moment.
I simply want to use this to see how it is like selling product and all.
Try open-sourcing it, see if it's going to get traction, then make the hosted version and make people pay (like ghost)
