Just Launched TimeBoxer – A Timeboxing App to Help You Stay Focused and Productive

Hey Indie Hackers!

I’m excited to share TimeBoxer, an iOS app I developed to make timeboxing easy and effective for anyone looking to improve focus and productivity. Timeboxing is a technique where you allocate specific time blocks for each task, helping you stay on track, avoid procrastination, and prevent burnout. I built TimeBoxer after struggling with staying focused and productive, especially with endless to-do lists and constant digital distractions.

Why Timeboxing?

Timeboxing has been a game-changer for me in managing my time. It’s great for:

  • Increasing Focus: By dedicating a fixed amount of time to a task, you can fully concentrate without worrying about other things on your list.
  • Avoiding Overwhelm: Timeboxing breaks down large tasks into manageable segments, making it easier to tackle complex projects one time block at a time.
  • Reducing Burnout: Each task has a clear end point, so you’re less likely to feel mentally exhausted.
  • Building Momentum: Completing each time block feels like a small win, which helps build motivation throughout the day.

Why TimeBoxer?

TimeBoxer is designed to make timeboxing simple and enjoyable:

  • Custom Time Limits: You can set specific time blocks for each task, so you don’t spend too much or too little time on anything.
  • Motivational Milestones: TimeBoxer gives you prompts at 25%, 50%, and 75% of each time block, helping you stay motivated and aware of your progress.
  • Overtime Alerts: If you go over the set time, TimeBoxer nudges you to wrap up, helping you stay disciplined.
  • Progress Tracking: TimeBoxer logs completed timeboxes, allowing you to reflect on your productivity patterns and make improvements.

Currently, TimeBoxer is only available on iOS, but I’m considering an Android version down the line if there’s enough demand.

Open to Feedback!

I’d love for you to try out TimeBoxer and let me know what you think! Whether it’s feature suggestions, design feedback, or ideas to make timeboxing even better, I’m all ears. I’m also looking to grow the user base, so any tips or ideas for spreading the word would be awesome.
