Lockby is live -- a Chrome extension that locks your browser to only the sites you pick

Most site blockers ask you to maintain a list of distracting sites. The problem is that list never ends. Block Reddit, you end up on YouTube. Block YouTube, you find something else. There are infinite distractions on the internet.

Lockby flips the approach. Instead of blocking bad sites, you pick the 1-3 domains you actually need for your current task, set a timer, and everything else disappears. Tabs close before the page even loads.

Want to quit a session early? You have to type a full confirmation sentence and wait 5 seconds. It's a small speed bump, but it's enough to break the impulse.
