I'll start with the problem because I lived it.
I was good at my job. I'd been there long enough to know it inside out. But the pay hadn't kept up, the ceiling was visible, and I'd stopped growing. I wanted to move — I just wasn't ready to leap into nothing. So I stayed. Not because I loved it, but because leaving without a landing spot felt terrifying. I talked to 10 other people. Same story, every single time.
That's the problem Escro solves.
What Escro is:
A two-sided career matching platform exclusively for employed professionals. Employees build anonymous profiles, browse company listings populated with insider descriptions written by people currently in those roles, and flag interest in companies they actually want to work for — no cover letters, no cold applications, no black holes.
Companies subscribe to access a pipeline of pre-vetted, employment-verified candidates who specifically chose them. By the time a conversation starts, the selling is already done.
And then there's the Swap — when a user sees someone at a target company whose role they want, and thinks they'd be great at that person's current role, they can request a direct person-to-person swap. If accepted, both get fast-tracked into each other's pipeline with a mutual vouch, and neither moves until both offers land.
Tagline: don't leave until you're ready to land.
Where I am:
— Pitch deck done
— One-pager done
— Domain secured: tryescro.com
— Trademark search clear (class 35, no conflicts)
— Working prototype built in Bubble
— Early validation: 10/10 people said yes, Reddit responses confirmed the pain point unprompted
— LLC approved, EIN obtained today
What I'm looking for:
A technical co-founder who can take the product from Bubble prototype to real build — and ideally someone who's navigated early-stage company operations before. I bring the vision, the product logic, the pitch, and the hustle. I need someone who can build and who wants to be in this together, not just for hire.
I'm based in Houston, TX. Open to remote.
What I'm NOT looking for:
Someone to hand this off to. I'm the founder. I'm looking for a partner.
If any of this resonates — the problem, the model, or just the energy — I'd love to talk. Drop a comment or reach out at hello@tryescro.com.
