Looking for advice: Is a user rating for Reddit Google extension useful?

Everyone who promotes products or services on Reddit knows one thing:
your experience and outcome heavily depend on who you end up interacting with.

Some people are honest and helpful.
Some disappear.
Some… predictably scam you.

A while ago, I was looking for a service I couldn’t do myself and went “fishing in a dark pond”. As expected, I got scammed. Not a fun experience — but a useful one. It led me to an idea.

What if Reddit users could have ratings with reviews, similar to how products are rated?

I’m building a Chrome extension (JS + Supabase, currently under Google review) that allows people to:

• leave a 1–5 star rating for users they interacted with

• add a short review explaining their experience

• see existing ratings

• for users themselves to respond to the reviews they received

The goal is simple:

give people more context about who they’re dealing with, especially when money, services, or collaborations are involved.

The extension is planned to be free, but there’s an obvious challenge:
for something like this to work, it has to be viral and community-driven.

Do you think this functionality would actually be useful on Reddit?

Where would you post or launch something like this?
I know about r/SideProject and some founder communities, but I’m sure I’m missing better places.
