Looking For Feedback On My Landing Page

Hey all,
It's been a few months since I've spent time here, as I've been working on getting my own projects going.
I'm currently working on Barter Market - an online marketplace where businesses can trade goods and services with each other (generally small/single employee businesses like cleaners, repairmen, dog walkers, decorators, etc). The first example I list on the site is a flower shop trading with a print shop to get business cards.
This will be a paid marketplace (still refining the pricing, likely around $7 USD/month) but I need to get people in there for free first before charging later users as the value comes with having options for trading partners. I'm using Carrd for the page and UnDraw for the illustrations.
Would love feedback on anything (including the business itself) but am particularly interested in:

The copy - is it clear? Does it instill confidence?

The 'case study' of a fitness class business - unnecessary/unrealistic?

Are screenshots 100% required here? (I'm using Sharetribe to get the initial site going)

Should I include the full list of business categories in the app?

The top section left me feeling unsure. The 4 examples below are quirky, fun, and really make the potential of the platform very obviously.
Consider removing the top graphic. I'd doesn't attract or communicate that much. Without it, you can pull more people quickly into the content below.
I wouldn't clutter the 4 examples with a long list of stuff. Our imagination can fill in the blanks. You could add a button to "see what others are trading" ... but I don't think it's essential to test this mvp.

Removing the graphic and getting them to the content makes a lot of sense. I'm doing recordings with HotJar and will do some deeper dives into those once more traffic is hitting the page, to see what below-fold behaviour looks like.
Ideally I'd like to show people something visually appealing without a wall of text once they arrive, but am definitely putting the good stuff too low.
Point taken on the long list of categories - I think there is a way to put that behind a CTA button like you mentioned. Lots to think about and try here based on your comments, thanks again!
Hey! Great idea -- looks like it's really coming along! A few comments when I first landed on it but please let me know if you did it intentionally:
"Where businesses can trade with each other"
My question is trade what? I know from reading your post but may be a little misleading at first so want to make that clear up front so small business owners know that they have landed on a site that they can use/trade their own services on.
I have to scroll a bit to get to the FAQ's and Fitness story portion. Maybe think about putting some more information up top via tabs/within a scroll or two so the person isn't digging so much. Just an idea as a viewer!

Ideally I want to communicate that it's both the right place to trade, and that it's a lighthearted sort of thing (not a serious, onerous thing to be involved in). But I could be losing the core benefit, which is what I'm hearing from your comment. It used to say "trade goods & services" so I'll play around with that some more.
Another element was keeping it short enough that it didn't take up too much room on mobile.
Cool idea!
However, here is one concern: do you expect each barter transaction to work out how much X is worth in Y?
That seems like it could be a lot of work...
Just to follow up, I'm going to add a section that explains the process of posting and bartering for trades, which should hopefully make it seem easy. Appreciate getting challenged on this! Will be an ongoing task to make it painless for people.

Sharetribe - which I'm using to launch the MVP app - allows trading partners to list suggested retail value, so people will be able to search and filter based on that, along with the category (ie. cleaning worth $100). So that's the starting point at least, the business will value what they have to offer.
Since the spirit of the marketplace is 'bartering', they will then trade messages to work out a fair deal for both sides. Still working on various ways to ensure those trades work out for people, since money is on the line.

My first thoughts as I browsed the page were "I wonder what kind of goods/services are available?" and then "I wonder if my service would even have any demand?"
So, it would be good to address those two questions. I'm not sure how you might do it, but one idea is to have a section of recent listings, and maybe have it animate to give the reader the feeling that there is lots of activity.
This is really helpful feedback, thanks! I think a bigger list of the types of things to trade for on there would really help.
Since this is super-early I don't have enough going on to post good recent listings (also, its pretty geo-specific) but will get on that once I'm at that point. Could perhaps be "20 businesses in Toronto currently looking to trade for cleaning" type of thing, and I could actually source those in the sales process without that biz needing to fully sign up.
