Saw the news that Beast Industries is building a two-sided creator marketplace. Their words: matching creators with Fortune 1000 marketers.
My first reaction was something like dread. Then I actually thought about it.
That platform is solving a real problem -for companies who can afford $20k-$100k a year on creator discovery tools, running campaigns with mega-creators, optimizing reach at a scale most of us will never touch.
It has nothing to do with what an early-stage founder needs. I don't need reach. I need one creator whose 8k followers happen to be exactly the people who'd use my product, and I need a way to work with them without a media budget.
Thats why we created Aproov (aproov.es) , so your company could get matched with the creators YOU need in exchange for.... what ever you want: Lifetime access, cash, revenue share, and more.
Opening second cohort very very soon...
This is a strong positioning distinction—big-platform creator marketplaces optimize for scale and enterprise spend, but early-stage founders actually need precision access, not inventory. The real wedge is less “matching” and more “alignment of incentives,” especially when creators are paid in outcomes rather than impressions. That said, the hardest part here will be trust on both sides: creators need predictable upside, and founders need measurable attribution. If Aproov can make that loop transparent and repeatable, it’s meaningfully different from broad influencer marketplaces
Exactly. Couldn't explain better. Thanks a lot!
