new to coding - looking to collab on projects
Hey all! loving the community here ! Am also new to coding (after 10+ years in law and 4 years as a recovering MBA management type). I'm absolutely determined to keep at it, and am hooked so far. keeps me up nights, in the best way (much to the annoyance of my saintly wife!).
Looking for people to collaborate with on web dev and/or android projects so I can keep challenged and growing. dont necessarily need to get paid. Happy to do this for the love of learning and practice. Any tips?
It is not clear whether you are looking for something which pays money? If not, you can consider helping out an open source project which interests you.
Thank you Jerrie - that is a good comment...i would never say no to being paid ;) but the thrust of my needs at this stage is practice + learning + repeat! Being new, i am not quite sure how one goes about getting involved in an open source project? alternatively, how can i 'open source' one of my own projects? Thank you!
Just google "how to get involved in open source". There are many articles which will assist you with this.
One thing I would say is to try and find a project which interests you. If you are going to spend your own, free time working on open source, it will help a lot if it is something which engages and interests you.
