Our messenger didn't have password login until today → Protocol iOS 2.1.7
Shipped iOS 2.1.7 today, and unlike our last update (which was mostly small polish), this one's a genuinely bigger lift under the hood.
The short version: we rebuilt the entire registration and login flow, added password-based login and 2FA (both were missing before, which in hindsight is a little embarrassing for a messenger), reworked the privacy section with new account-level settings, redesigned the settings and profile editing screens, and tightened up client-server security.
None of this is exciting to show off, there's no flashy feature demo here. But it's the kind of foundational work that felt overdue, and honestly should've come before some of the more visible stuff we'd already built.
It's live on the App Store now, would genuinely love to hear what you think of the new login flow, or if anything feels off.
