Show IH: DemoKeeper - a tool I built because I kept not knowing if anyone listened to my music demos

Quick background: spent the last few years as a data engineer. Quit last week to build things on my own.

DemoKeeper is the first thing I'm putting out.

The problem is something I kept running into personally. I make music — beats, demos, works in progress. Every time I wanted to share something with a collaborator or a friend, I'd upload it somewhere, send a link, and then wonder if they ever actually played it. Half the time I'd send a "hey did you get that?" message anyway, which kind of defeats the purpose.

So I built DemoKeeper. Upload a demo, share a link, get notified when someone opens and plays it. The person on the other end doesn't need an account — they just click and it plays. No folder navigation, no format issues, no mystery about whether the link worked.

It's pretty minimal right now, which feels right. I wanted to ship something real first and figure out what it actually needs to be from there.

Today is day one.
