Scratching your own itch is usually the best place to start, especially in hospitality where the pain is obvious. If this helps restaurants turn tables faster or cut walkouts, that is the first outcome worth proving. Hard part is rarely the app itself, it is getting staff to use it during a slammed shift, so setup and training need to be almost effortless.

The frustration of waiting for a waiter to notice you is universal — and the solution being a QR code on the table is obvious in retrospect but somehow most restaurants still haven’t done it right.

The UX that kills these apps is usually the payment step: if it adds any friction versus just asking the waiter for the bill, people revert. Worth obsessing over that last 20% of the flow.
