Show IH: Payrolled - job board with salaries
Hi IndieHackers!
I just launched my first project in a long time and I'd love to get some feedback from you. The URL is http://www.payrolled.fi. It's a job board that discloses salary range upfront.
I have built this MVP for the Finnish market first (I live in Finland). If it catches on I plan to expand it internationally. The idea for this project came from a thread that I originally posted on HackerNews https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=13116133. I asked people if they are more likely to apply for a job that discloses salary upfront. I received overwhelmingly positive replies so I decided to launch Payrolled.
I have few ideas how to get companies to post their jobs on my board but I'm trying to figure out how to get visitors to my site. Any ideas are welcome!
Good job! I was contemplating to make a job board recently.
Mind if I ask how do you source initial job posting before making job board public? Or you just launch it with no initial job posting and let employer fill them one by one?
Thanks! Now in the beginning I'm looking for jobs and submitting them by myself to fill the board. I'm thinking of writing a few scrapers so that I wouldn't have to search the jobs on the internet manually. But my priority at the moment is to get more subscribers.
What kind of job board are you thinking of making?
