Silent churn killed my MRR for months. Then I built something that made it loud.

For the longest time I thought I understood my business.

Churn rate was sitting at 3%. Nothing alarming. New users coming in every week. Everything looked fine on the surface.

But MRR kept going sideways. Sometimes down. Never really up.

I kept blaming acquisition. Kept thinking I just needed more users. Spent more on ads. Wrote more cold emails. Same result.

Then one night I actually looked at which customers were leaving instead of how many.

It was always the same pattern. My best accounts. The ones on the higher plans. Quietly gone. No complaint. No support ticket. No warning. Just a cancellation notification and a gap in my MRR I could not explain.

The worst part was not losing the revenue. It was not knowing why.

I had no idea what broke the relationship. Was it a bug they never reported? A competitor they switched to? A pricing concern they never raised? Complete silence every single time.

So I started building Flidget.

The idea was simple. Two moments matter more than anything else in retention. The weeks before a user decides to leave when they are quietly disengaging and you have no idea. And the exact second they click cancel when the reason is still fresh and they are still willing to tell you.

Flidget handles both. Drift detection scores every user as Healthy, Risky, or Drifting based on real product behavior so you can reach out before they ever reach the cancel page. And when someone does click cancel a short conversation opens right there and captures the real reason in seconds.

No follow up emails three days later. No survey nobody fills out. Just the actual reason at the actual moment.

The first week I had it live I saw six users in my Drifting queue. Sent each of them a personal email. Four replied. None of them cancelled.

Silent churn is not a product problem. It is a visibility problem. Most dashboards show you what happened. Flidget shows you what is about to happen and why.

Would love to hear from anyone who has dealt with the same thing. What was your moment of realizing churn was happening before you could see it?
