Soft Trumps Hard

@bmg I've been working remotely for more than 12 years so appreciate what you are doing at https://needremote.com/find-your-next-job/.

Landing page:

  1. I think you understand the fundamental principles of simplicity, which is more than I can say for 95% of the services out there, so bravo!
  2. Relationship Tech. Soft trumps hard. As Kevin Kelly says in one of his most famous essays (1000 True Fans), "the most powerful technologies are those that enhance, amplify, extend, augment, distill, recall, expand, and develop soft relationships of all types."

I suggest you think deeply about:

  1. What is your technology really doing for people (pick one or two of the verbs on the list above, but no more). Then instantiate that through your product and user experience.
  2. Consider the importance of the soft relationship between you and your users.

Suggestion: The first place to start cultivating relationships with your users is your "Thank You" message copy. Anyone who has gone through the trouble of submitting your form deserves more than a "Thank you for submitting the form" message from a machine.

Would be 10x better onboarding experience (more sticky, memorable) if you noted why you are grateful to new users and what's next on their journey. In nothing more than 280 characters.

I know the field of companies aiming to help people score remote jobs is growing fast, so good luck and best wishes, and congrats on your progress to-date.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

A diehard fan of remote work,

And I have now next days with considering about relationships with customers. It's so interesting what you write.
