Solo founders...What’s your biggest cash flow blind spot right now?

Hey guys, after a bunch of conversations with other solo founders, one thing keeps hitting me:
Most of us have decent revenue visibility… but terrible real cash visibility.
We know we made $8k this month, but we’re still stressed about whether we can pay rent, contractors, or taxes in 3–4 weeks.
So I narrowed my focus and started building Aureus (Founder here) around real cash runway visibility first connecting to bank data, showing honest daily forecasts, and giving simple proactive suggestions.
It’s still very early, but I want to make sure I’m building the right thing.
Quick question for other solo / small team founders ($0–150k MRR):
What’s your biggest cash flow / runway blind spot or frustration right now?
Examples:

Timing of payments vs expenses
Not knowing when you can safely spend or hire
Tax / VAT surprises
“Profitable but still feel broke”
Something else?

Drop your biggest cash-related pain point below. No pitch I’m genuinely collecting real problems before I build more.
The more specific you are, the better I can make this useful.

This is the gap that gets people, especially net-30/60 on the invoice side with no matching flexibility on the payout side. Two things that helped me: front-loading terms so a real chunk (30-50%) is due before you start instead of 100% net-30 after delivery, and planning around a client's worst historical payment delay, not the number written in the contract. If they've paid late twice before, budget like they'll do it a third time — a lot less painful to be pleasantly surprised than to count on money that doesn't show up on schedule.

The blind spot I hit hardest is: clients paying 30-60 days late while I have to pay contractors weekly. Revenue looks good on paper but my actual runway is 2-3 weeks shorter than it appears. I end up constantly transferring personal savings to cover the gap, then hoping the invoice payment lands before the next round of expenses. A tool showing "days until I actually run out of cash if customer X doesn't pay by Friday" would be huge. Most accounting software shows accrual revenue, not actual cash timing.

This is such a classic and painful blind spot thank you for sharing it so clearly.
The “revenue looks good but cash is terrifying” mismatch, especially with 30-60 day client terms vs weekly contractor payouts, is brutal. Many founders I’ve talked to describe exactly this scenario.
This is precisely the kind of timing problem I’m trying to solve first with Aureus showing not just “you have X runway,” but “here’s your runway if Client X pays late / on time / never.”
Real cash timing visibility instead of just accrual accounting.
Would love to hear more if you’re open:

How do you currently track or manage this gap? (spreadsheets, gut feel, buffer in savings, etc.)
What would a useful alert or forecast look like for you in this situation?

Appreciate the detailed reply this kind of feedback is gold.
