I'm developing a personal finance tool that doesn't sell my data, helps me see my daily spending habits, and tells me where to cut back and lean in. I got the idea after my wife and I spent the last 10+ years budgeting with an excel sheet, financial statements, and a rough financial independent game plan.
The thing is, I don't trust free services with my data. And I'd much rather pay for a tool that listens to what I need and don't need and build it. Because I'm a hacker by trade, I figured I'd finally build what I've been looking for.

Royce,
This sounds interesting, but there isn't enough on you home page to know what I'd be signing up for. Just the tagline isn't enough IMO. If you have a screen shot share it so your prospects know there is something worth sharing an email address for. If not, the perhaps describe the problem you're solving a bit more and tell me why your solution is better.
@riskpeep appreciate the feedback. The first iteration of InOutOver is an email that tells you every month how much money came in, how much money went out, and how much you have left over. The MVP is basically a personal cash flow statement delivered to your email every month.
To your point, I need to describe that on the site. Which one sounds better:
Option 1: "See your spending habits monthly and learn where to cut back or lean in."
Option 2: "A personal cash flow statement delivered to your email every month"
Option 3: Neither. @riskpeep has a better one.
Appreciate you!
I like the second one, but I'm guessing not everyone knows what a cashflow statement is.
Perhaps this "A personal cash flow statement delivered to your inbox every month. Learn where you are succeeding and where to cut back."
Btw, how would you get the numbers? Do you connect to the bank?
@riskpeep - I'm using a combination of Plaid and Stripe to connect to bank account.
That was quick, and an iteration from the idea you had a few weeks back
Btw, mine has since gotten a name. :) http://www.budgetfuchs.de
Nice. I'm testing out messaging, but the core idea is the same from what I pitched a few weeks back.
Congrats on the progress with Budget Fuchs. I think you could tighten up the messaging to help me better understand the value exchanged, but other than that. Look forward to offering more feedback.
What do you think of my messaging?
Tbh, the german version of budgetfuchs is my focus, english is second tier citizen. I have someone who helps me with the finer details on the german site.
inoutover, how about a few mockup graphics to explain it visually?
a cashflow statement for this and next month side by side with a magnifying glass on two items on this month's statement and some indication (graph, or a fat + sign) on next month that money could be saved.
Heyo, Royce here from inoutover.com. Curious what y'all IH'ers think of the messaging. I'm a hacker by trade, so any suggestions on how to craft my words better is appreciated. Thanks!
