Statcounter pricing page, is this a good counterexample?

I decided to have a look at https://statcounter.com/pricing/ again after many years. They have made the pricing page super confusing, and it might be a good case study on what not to do:

  1. They say "Analyze your most recent 500 page views". What does this mean? do you lose my data after I have more than that number of page views? Is it less detailed? No explanation

  2. They also use this term "Monthly Recordings" - I can pay extra for more of these, but nowhere does it tell me what they are.

There is nothing to help make the decision. I'd like to see examples / screenshots of what these things mean, or even better just simplify the pricing. Not sure why they don't do this:

Free: Data kept for 3 months. Records up to 200 daily visits.
$9/m: Data kept for 6 months. Records up to 1000 daily visits.

Etc.

Obviously they are trying to balance 3 things here. One is they want people to get on a free plan to get hooked/spread the word. The other is they want to get the most value from each sale. Finally they don't want people to use more resources than they are paying for, resulting in a loss-making customer. I get that all these factors make the pricing complex but I think they have lost me with this page.
