Update: ran 4 more real x402 settlements, one triggered live failover
Quick follow-up to my earlier post. Ran 4 more real settlements tonight against our production endpoint, sharing the raw numbers because I'd rather show the data than just say "it works."
Run 1-3: nvidia-a10, $0.04 each, consistent, repeatable.
Run 4 is the interesting one: agent requested an h100, first two candidate nodes didn't complete the job, system automatically routed to a third node, which succeeded. That's the automatic multi-provider failover actually firing in a live transaction, not something I'm describing as a feature.
Also worth showing: one request got rejected outright with "Payment amount exceeds maximum allowed." That's the spend-cap system doing its job. Including the failure because I think a build log that only shows wins isn't that useful to anyone.
Real tx hashes and Stripe payment intents on all of these if anyone wants to verify. Happy to answer questions about the x402/CDP implementation.
