Want to follow through on my New Year Resolution of starting either a SaaS (or Micro-SaaS)
I want to start on a SaaS product for the new year after deciding that I want to make use of Typescript for my tech stack (Nest.js + React/Vue/Svelte + Nx), however, I am having trouble just thinking about an idea. The hardest thing for me is trying to think of an idea and then checking for product market fit. Any ideas on how I should go about finding my first idea?
Search for articles on finding a solution to solve when trying to think of an idea. That's ultimately what provides value, you can tell someone "my product makes your life easier".

I don't think there is anything bad about choosing a tech stack first. But are you prioritising learning a tech stack or solving someone's problem? Those two things don't always align.
I wouldn't necessarily say I was prioritizing a tech stack, I was mostly thinking about what tools that I am most familiar with that would allow me to develop rapidly. The hardest part for me is just the headache of figuring out a problem to solve. I know there's a strategy of looking up a product and expanding on a small feature of their platform but I am not sure if I want to put in the hours for that despite it technically being a validated idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38f6Vp3fO3o
