Yesterday, DocsAlot hit #2 on Product Hunt.
On launch day, we got 638 visitors and just under 1,000 pageviews, which turned into 15 signups.
Today, the traffic didn’t fall off the way I expected. We’ve already seen another 558 visitors, 872 pageviews, and 19 more signups.
So across the two days so far, that’s 1,196 visitors, 1,869 pageviews, and 34 signups.
A few honest takeaways from it:
Product Hunt still works, but mostly as an amplifier. The real lift seemed to come from the follow-on distribution around it, especially from X and LinkedIn.
Almost all of the landing traffic still hit the homepage, which was a useful reminder that homepage clarity and onboarding matter more than almost anything else during a launch.
No paying customers from this launch yet, but we do offer a one-week free trial, so the real question now is how many of these users convert.
One encouraging sign: around 30 of the 34 signups went on to create documentation on the platform. That at least suggests the traffic was curious enough to try the product, not just bounce after visiting.
Happy to answer questions or share the specific tactics we used if anyone here is planning a launch soon.
