What do you think about using .hr TLD for HR software?

Just a tip, be aware of potential restrictions that come with a .hr domain. It’s been a while since I last registered a .hr domain, but at that time I had to provide information regarding my Croatian residence. Hr stands for Hrvatska, which is the local name for Croatia.

Ensure you meet the requirements. some country tlds do have such restrictions eg. .us

I would go for it. Lots of things are expected to change when you are starting out so if you are somehow punished by the SEO gods for your choice you can change it later. Your business/product name is more important that the domain so I would pay more attention to that in the long run.
My only hesitation is that the domain price is a bit high.

I think it's pretty clever and cute! But it will depend on whether you think your specific audience has a general awareness of gTLD's.

If I were in your position, I might be willing to make a go of the .hr as the canonical domain for my software, but first I would rule out as many .com variations as I could think of until I really hated what was left.

Even here in 2018 .com is still just a little bit easier on the phone with customers (especially cross-culturally), imho.

And then I'd still buy the .hr anyway and use it as a cute shorturl for social, cause it's great. :-)
