For those running profitable SaaS companies, what are some of your biggest costs at the moment?
I’ve noticed costs can vary a lot depending on stage: some struggle most with infra and API usage, others with team size or ads.
Curious where the biggest chunk of your budget goes right now?
Definitely wages. I think any SaaS that has gone past a solo operator find that wages are the biggest burden. Also depends on the tool, a lot of infra and other direct product costs are commoditized with a race to the bottom so cheap alternatives are easy to come by.
Spoken from a non-technical founder/investor
I see, and that makes sense.
What does your current team setup look like? Do you mostly work with full-time employees or freelancers? Also, are they working from the office or remotely?
Happy to learn more about your setup!
Absolutely. As startups grow, they often need more powerful infrastructure and greater investment in user acquisition. That’s why it’s important to plan for growth early and ensure your system can handle the increasing load.
