What’s the first thing real users made you simplify?
I keep noticing that early products usually get more complicated while we’re building them, then simpler once real users show up.
A flow that felt “obvious” suddenly needs fewer steps.
A settings page turns out to be unnecessary.
An onboarding sequence becomes one button.
A feature that needed explaining probably needed simplifying instead.
I think this is one of the most useful parts of getting a product in front of people early.
Not because users always know what you should build, but because they’re very good at showing you where the product is making them work too hard.
