Hi Everyone, I'm here looking to ask for your personal opinion on a business idea.
I came to a realization that every time I was interested in learning or widening my area of knowledge in investing, I got slapped in the face with some kind of course or membership program.
I truly understand.
Like some gurus would just like to monetize their information and experience. There is no hurt in that. But it’s disgusting how people are twisting the fact that investment strategies are just too complex for the average joe wanting to learn it, to just jump into. Therefore they provide you with a few in-depth topics about investment and cut it off in the end by introducing some kind of course.
There's plenty of information out there to help one learn investing. Also, realized that there are no step by step structured guides.
Similar to the coding sector of the world, there are so many amazing online resources that help a person "decide" what language to learn. "Recommend" what combination to take. The best part about it, is that it can all...
BE FOUND IN ONE PLACE.
So that was my deal breaker. Why not create a place. A safe haven. A hub. To gather resources and structured guides that will help us learn about investing.
For example, a website with guides on
Stock Market,
Real Estate,
Forex,
Cryptocurrency,
Trading Vs Investing,
BUT...
The problem is that, why would such an idea be validated if the information is already out there. Essentially, I'd be recreating the same articles with a twist in the way of teaching.
Is the idea of finding it all to be in one place enough to validate the business... A person could just buy a course instead.
Appreciate your insight!
P.S. The monetization of such a site would be affiliate marketing since the whole point of this is to be a freebie. In addition, future upgrades would occur, such as the creation of a "tool" like market update notifications, charting systems, etc..
As someone who does deal with trading, education is something that is fairly close to my heart. I get many people coming to me asking what do certain terms means, how can they learn new concepts, or new signals to watch, etc, etc, etc. Loads. Hundreds.
My current approach is to point people to the relevant Investopedia article(s). Which are VERY comprehensive.
You need to find a reason why people would chose your articles over theirs. That's your first step.
I say this because I'm not the only one who has to deal with education in this field. If you find a reason why you're better than them, you'll make bank (with enough luck).
