Which platform would you recommend to test and validate the idea phase?
Hey IH, I was wondering, which platform would you guys use to test and validate your idea quickly?
Here are the choices I have:
- Learn Divi, and WordPress (use template and host myself)
- Squarespace
- Wix
- Weebly
- Custom design and code
I am prioritizing speed over anything to get some sense of validation before pursuing the idea.
I would love to hear what you guys think, just as much about the failures than the successes you might have had.

Oh wow! I love Carrd! I have never heard of it before; I will definitely give it a shot! My personal website/blog is built using Jekyll, which is very similar to Hugo, so I might just resort to those if I have to :)
As I was building a community-based platform myself, I originally created a Facebook group to help validate the idea and acquire early users.
I've always found it effective to use existing platforms to reduce build times.
Would love to learn more about what you're building to see if there's any relevant alternatives.
I completely agree with you, I rather leverage an existing platform rather than build one from scratch!
Did you create a Facebook group with the name of your company and then used ads to bring people? Or did you let it organically fill up?
I was able to name the group after my brand as it's also related to an industry term.
Instead of running paid ads, I'd take screenshots of the discussions in the group and share that with my existing network on LinkedIn.
This was a useful way to funnel users into the group.
