Hello there, i wanted to share a story of my work @ Membersdrive and ask for a few help.
I am a fullstack developer at https://membersdrive.com and you know as a fullstack am the single engineer and considered UI designer too, i do everything about the platform from website to the app features etc, since we are a startup.
I just am thinking what are your thoughts and recommendations about Our Landing Page UI at www.membersdrive.com ?
I will appreciate your suggestions kindly.
I can also do more introduction about what Membersdrive do if need be.
Thanks.
first thing, please share the link on a platform were people can comment on it :-)
for here we go:
-increase the size of the imagines, looks small.
-that laptop pics looks so fake , its not good for the first impression.
that all the comes to mind on the spot. M not ur potential client so take my comment with a pinch of salt. Better talk to people face to face. specially ur customer
Thank you so much, I'm taking your suggestions kindly, so far there have been different comment about the same points you noticed. Too. Once I fix something I will infact mention you in my next post to check it out. Thanks thanks.
-change logo, it does not fit your site design, color scheme
-"Manage Happy People." - so it's only for happy people?
-"Running a business, a church, a fellowship, a group, an association or an event" ...a class, a symposium, a course... To much text and I still do not know what the hell is this. Use synonym to match all of them in one word.
-"means that you are dealing with People (-_-)." - OK, I just spent 5 seconds on your website and I do not know what you are doing or offering. You state obvious, and apparently, your tool is to somehow manage happy people. But I do not know that yet for sure. This is the moment when the first wave of users will click "back" and search for something else.
-"Membersdrive is a CRM that help you effectively keep, manage and grow happily with your people." - ah OK, so why the heck this is not the first line in header?! I still do not know the meaning of all of this, but at least I know what CRM is. So it is CRM that allows me to "keep people" (???), "manage people" and "grow happily" (???).
-" NEW: Introducing Personalization on Membersdrive." - cool, I still do not know what this tool is, besides that, it is some kind of CRM. The quoted information is non-informative to me.
-"10,000 and Counting." - 10,000 of what? What counting?
-"Managing 10,000+ people for growing busineses and organizations." - is this a lot? So is this tool for businesses that are growing? I still don't know, because I scanned the whole header and I have no meaningful information on what is this tool (just pieces like CRM, growing, happy). But I simply cannot make anything that makes sense from this.
There is also an image that gives me absolutely no sense of what I am looking at, the writing is too small so I won't even try.
...and this is when your average user quits unless he has some extra free time or he knows what your tool does because someone told him.
Landing pages are hard. Much harder than 90% of Indie Hackers imagine. One word can change your conversion by 0.1-0.5%. Your landing page is not terrible, but I would assume it can halve your conversions comparing to optimized version.
Thank you so much @Bart Boch . All the categories of your suggestion for improvement is actually valid. I've heard similar comments recently and thanks for really pointing it out clearly like a USER would.
I will read your comments to my colleagues too.
So you can think of Membersdrive as a management app that a business owner use for managing customer relationships or a church for managing members relationships. The app has features to keep people info, do communication, manage important dates and infact automate the celebration of important date.
This week I will work on the Landing Page and I will come to mention you in my next post to check the progress out.
Even though the product direction is already changing from what it currently is.
Am glad for this community , thank you, thank you again.
I could go on and on... but you really need to look it over. Fix spelling mistakes. Make sure it "reads" well. Get a native English speaker to read over your website. Make sure buttons actually work.
Get your mom to visit your website and then ask her if she'd be interested in using your product.
Ohh Matt, thanks a bunch. Correcting the grammars already. And would apply the MOM test this week.
I I'll come here and mention your name in my next post when I fix most things.
Thank you so much.
