Who is building 12 startups in 12 months?
I follow @levelsio since he started the challenge of 12 startups in 12 months. He had like 3k followers in Twitter?
I loved the idea and I tried to follow each step. Now he passed the mark or $50k/mo revenue and it’s awesome!
This approach is very sexy for me. I love to build and deliver things. I would like to start following other makers running the same approach.
Is anyone here doing that?

Pieter is making that kind of money BECAUSE OF MARKETING. Real. Actual. Marketing. He is doing a thing called influencer marketing where he leverages his following of people on Twitter/PH/IH/etc. to drive demand for his products.
Do you have a following? If not, build one. Right. Now. Then do these types of click bait ideas where people pretend that it's as easy as "finding a product that sticks."
Products without marketing will fail every time.

What worked for someone, doesn’t have to work for you. It wasn’t just the 12s/12m idea that made it work for Levels, it was the full story around it (travel, transparency, build in public) that made it enticing for news outlets to write about it. That’s pure 100% marketing.
If you like to just build stuff, go for it. If you want to build a profitable business, don’t.

Sure, everything is marketing. And he does it very well. But when he started the challenge he didn't even had a reputation in digital nomad communities. He built the community, then built the reputation on it.
And guess what... Nomadlist is one if the startups he built during the challenge.
I think that's the point. You ship as much as you can. Fast! Then when you find a good one, you stick with it. It can be earlier, or can take more than 12 months.
Nobody does. I don't think Pieter even got to 12. He stuck to what worked.
And that's the ultimate goal for 12 in 12, to find, develop, and stick to the money making product.

He never finished that challenge.
Focus on building ONE profitable business and then once it starts generating money automate it. Once you get some time back after automating it THEN move onto the next one.
OR just pump out 12 'startups' that are just reskinned differently which make no money.
The reason Pieter has a profitable business is his network, without that network he wouldn't be in the position he is in now.

Ship 1 startup per month doesn't means they will be crapy. There are good products you can build literally with a very low effort!
Early this month I started saving every single idea in a Trello board. I have like 50 ideas so far... Some of them are complex, but a few ones are simple. I could ship in 2 weeks working part-time, for example.
This is what I'm trying to do with landingcast.com and origamidocs.com.
You know what is worst? Sometimes is a piece of crap that gains traction. People pay every day for a lot of crap things... I believe this is the principle of 12 in 12... If something stick, you can always improve the idea but now with users already validating your idea.
