Spent last weekend building a thing that solves a weird niche: tracking local SERP changes from different cities. Turns out, agencies overpay for rank tracking tools that don't do this. The product idea is useful, but the bigger opportunity is probably figuring out exactly which agency pain triggered those signups.
“Track local SERP changes from different cities” is clear, but agencies usually buy because they need to prove movement to clients, spot city-level ranking drops, or show why one location is underperforming.
I’d look closely at the Reddit comment that worked and reverse-engineer it into a repeatable loop:
which subreddit had the pain
what exact wording made people care
whether signups were freelancers, agencies, or local business owners
what they expected after signing up
what would make them pay instead of just test it
If you can turn that one comment into a repeatable agency acquisition loop, this becomes more than a side project.
