YouTube has a new "gift" option for creators who do live streams.

YouTube said that its creators now have a "new way to earn" on its platform while doing live streams.

This new way is called "jewels", and it allows viewers to buy interactive "gifts". Those gifts will show up as animations on the creator's screen, while they're streaming.

TikTok already has this feature, which has been getting traction. So it isn't surprising that YouTube went and said, "We want a piece of that pie".
