Crowdsourcer.io

Having done some networking and putting myself out there at the behest of my mentor, I ended up doing a presentation at a small tech meetup in the local area. Some 40-50 people listened to the theories behind the Crowdsourcer.io model and how it works in practice. I had some really positive and encouraging comments that help me to remember that people want this and moreover, people need this.

Through a nonchalant conversation and a business card, I ended up entering and qualifying for the Innovate2Succeed scheme, funded by the UK government and the EU. Through this I now have access to a personal coach who's mentoring me and putting me out of my comfort zone.

It's amazing what a little nudge in the right direction can do. My lesson from this would be, talk to everyone. You never know what will come out of it.

Today we officially launched the site. Nearly a year in the making and a lot of missed social events, it's finally released. Now to see whether it really takes off.

It's been one hell of an experience building Crowdsourcer.io. I've learnt a colossal amount about building large scale web apps (originally a mobile dev) from managing the code base and the stack, through to marketing and management of myself.
