Gear Offer

After nearly 4 years of trying to build a 2 sided marketplace, we failed. Well, we didn't fail to attract sellers, we failed to appeal to buyers. After thousands of dollars in fraud paid out (we did attract criminals). It was apparent that the only real way to build a successful 2 sided marketplace is to start with an audience, then build a product.

Our marketplace has been public for one year. Lot's of lessons learned. Starting a 2 sided marketplace is very hard and requires lots of perseverance. We still have a long way to go, but what we have accomplished is that we've laid a solid foundation for the future. Brought on a good friend and fellow software developer as co-founder.

Landed out first major camera gear seller.

Launched the marketplace and started attracting sellers.

Began coding the MVP for Gear Offer during nights, weekends and some PTO here and there.
