July 25, 2025 Looking to scale your outreach but feeling overwhelmed by all the options?

Here's a quick breakdown of Cold Email vs LinkedIn outreach that'll help you choose the right path:

Cold Email Campaigns:
→ High volume (50-100 emails/day)
→ Formal, direct tone
→ Works best on weekdays
→ Lower reply rates but easier to scale
→ Perfect for reaching anyone who checks email

LinkedIn Outreach:
→ Lower volume (100 DMs/week)
→ Personal, conversational approach
→ Best during active hours
→ Higher engagement rates
→ Ideal for tech, sales, and marketing pros

The key difference? Cold email is like fishing with a net, while LinkedIn is like having conversations at a business networking event.

July 21, 2025 Building Leadsourcing as a lead gen engine, and honestly, I am loving it every single day.

3–4 years ago, I remember setting up cold outbound systems manually. Visitor tracking tools gave you vague analytics. LinkedIn outreach was guesswork. And syncing everything into a flow? Zapier, scraping tools, spreadsheets… it was duct-taped chaos.

Now I’m running Leadsourcing, and here’s what blew me away:

– Tracks which companies visit your site, without needing them to fill out a form
– Instantly shows LinkedIn profiles of decision-makers at those companies
– Smart filters: you can set criteria like job title, location, and only get relevant leads
– All visitor insights pipe into Slack or CSV, in real-time
– Can launch email or LinkedIn outreach right away from the same platform!
– Credits can be location-based; you don’t burn them on random traffic
– No-code setup in 5 mins via GTM or script drop-in

We help an SEO agency company run it on their landing page right now. They had 8 qualified company visitors yesterday, surfaced 23 matching LinkedIn profiles, and booked 2 intro calls.

No scraping tools. No guessing who the visitor is. No chasing cold lists.

Just warm, high-intent outreach at the exact moment they’re exploring your offer.

If you’re running any kind of B2B site, Leadsourcing flips your “anonymous traffic” into real conversations.

Plug. Detect. Engage. It’s that clean.

July 17, 2025 Want to build a lead generation engine that runs while you sleep?

Most agency owners spend weeks setting up complex automation workflows that break more often than they work.

Here's what they're missing:
1. You don't need 50 different tools
2. You don't need complex integration flows
3. You don't need to be a technical wizard

The reality? Your lead generation infrastructure should take minutes, not months, to build.

Think about it:
→ Prospect identification
→ Automated targeting
→ Smart sequencing
→ Personalized outreach

All working together in perfect harmony, delivering qualified leads to your inbox every morning.

Stop overthinking your lead generation stack. Start building a system that actually works.

July 11, 2025 The hidden truth about B2B lead generation:

After 10 years in the trenches, I've learned something counterintuitive:

Most valuable leads aren't filling out your contact forms.

Here's what really happens:

→ Decision makers quietly research solutions
→ They browse multiple vendor websites
→ They compare capabilities silently
→ They discuss internally first
→ THEN they reach out

The traditional approach tells us to:
Push more content
Create more forms
Gate more resources

But what if we flipped the script?

Instead of waiting for hand-raisers, what if we:
→ Identified who's already looking
→ Understood their browsing patterns
→ Reached out with relevant insights
→ Built relationships before they ask

I've seen this approach generate 15x more qualified opportunities than traditional methods.

The best prospects are already on your site. They're just not filling out your forms.

What's your experience with this? Have you noticed similar patterns in your B2B lead generation efforts?

I’ve seen this work too. Watch who visits your site, spot patterns, and reach out early with useful insights. It makes a huge difference.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I’ve been testing the exact approach you described. Instead of waiting for form fills, I set up a tool to track repeat visitors and then sent a simple, personalized email referencing a page they viewed. Response rate jumped from 2% to nearly 20%. Have you tried any specific tools for spotting these silent browsers?
June 26, 2025 Every agency needs a bulletproof user acquisition framework.

After working with hundreds of agencies, I've noticed a pattern in those who consistently attract ideal clients:

They build infrastructure, not just campaigns.

Here's the framework that works:

Layer 1: Intelligence Foundation
→ Market research
→ Competitor analysis
→ Ideal client profiling

Layer 2: Attraction Mechanisms
→ Content engine
→ Social proof system
→ Authority positioning

Layer 3: Conversion Architecture
→ Lead capture optimization
→ Prospect qualification
→ Meeting automation

Layer 4: Amplification Network
→ Strategic partnerships
→ Referral systems
→ Community building

The key? Each layer supports the others. Remove one, and the entire structure becomes unstable.

Most agencies jump straight to Layer 2, wondering why their efforts don't convert.

Which layer needs the most attention in your agency's infrastructure right now?

June 25, 2025 Your agency's biggest growth bottleneck isn't what you think.

It's not your service quality, pricing, or even your marketing message.

It's your follow-up system.

Here's what top-performing agencies know that others don't:

Lead Response Time Reality Check:
→ 5 minutes: 21x more likely to qualify leads
→ 30 minutes: 7x more likely to connect
→ 24 hours: Your prospect has moved on

Most agencies are leaving money on the table with:
• Manual follow-up processes
• Delayed responses to inquiries
• Inconsistent outreach sequences
• No systematic lead nurturing

The Solution: Automated Intelligence Follow-up System

Level 1: Instant Response
→ Automated acknowledgment
→ Meeting scheduler integration
→ Prospect qualification questions

Level 2: Smart Routing
→ Lead scoring based on behavior
→ Priority assignment
→ Team member matching

Level 3: Nurture Sequences
→ Multi-channel touchpoints
→ Content-driven engagement
→ Conversion tracking

Your competitors are still manually handling leads while winning agencies are closing deals in their sleep.

The math is simple: Faster response + Systematic follow-up = Higher conversion rates

What's your current lead response time?

June 24, 2025 The agency world is experiencing a seismic shift in client expectations:

Old Model: Delivering standalone services
→ Pure SEO packages
→ Isolated social campaigns
→ Single-channel focus
→ Monthly reporting cycles

New Model: Orchestrating integrated growth
→ Cross-channel strategies
→ Revenue-focused metrics
→ Real-time performance tracking
→ AI-enhanced optimization

Forward-thinking agencies are evolving from service providers to strategic growth partners. They're building systems that connect every marketing touchpoint to measurable business outcomes.

The most successful agencies in 2025 aren't just executing tactics - they're architecting comprehensive digital ecosystems that drive predictable client growth.

This isn't just a trend. It's the new agency success blueprint.

Is your agency positioned for this transformation?

June 23, 2025 The Hidden Cost of "Spray and Pray" Lead Generation

Picture your lead generation like throwing darts blindfolded in a crowded bar. Sure, you might hit something - but at what cost?

Most B2B companies blast their message to anyone with a pulse, hoping qualified leads magically appear. It's like fishing with dynamite instead of using proper bait and technique.

Your marketing budget isn't unlimited ammunition. Every misplaced shot drains resources that could be targeting decision-makers who actually need your solution.

Think of precise B2B targeting like a skilled archer:
→ Know exactly where your target lives
→ Wait for the perfect moment
→ Take calculated shots
→ Track and adjust based on results

The math is simple:
10 perfectly placed arrows will bring better results than 100 random shots.

Stop treating your lead generation like a lottery ticket. Start approaching it like a master craftsman.

Your ideal customers are already out there. The question is: Are you precisely targeting them, or just making noise in their general direction?

What's your targeting strategy costing you?

After reading this, I'd definitely choose the precision targeting approach over spray-and-pray tactics. The spray and pray approach might make you feel productive because you’re actually busy. In actual fact, the precision targeting approach definitely trumps. I mean, so many reasons like quality of quantity (having mapped out and researched ideal customers), better ROI… 10 perfect shots cost less and convert higher than 100 random attempts plus the beautiful relationships that are often birthed from targeting with precision.

If I was to be the strategist, firstly, I would research deeply into ideal customer profiles, map out pain points, their decision making processes and where they actually spend their time.

I would maximize LinkedIn for direct outreach for specific roles, content that speaks directly to their challenges and most importantly, email sequences that nurtures even the iciest of them all into sizzling a hot loyal and evangelical client.

Lastly, I would track the quality of their engagements and definitely run A/B tests with small targeted groups. Anything that doesn’t work goes straight into the trash.

Quality beats quantity every time in B2B.

Mind you, I could do all these for you.😉

    1. 1

Love how you broke it down, especially the part about nurturing even the iciest prospects into loyal advocates, that’s the long game most teams ignore.

  2. 1

I don't think broad-market outreach is a viable strategy in 2025. There are so many auto-generated gmails which spam sign-ups, newsletters, and advertisement clicks just for artificial inflation of non-bottom-line numbers.

Instead, I've found success in treating everything as though it were B2C: a VP at a large corporation, after all, is just another person. Having a good conversation with them is more likely to net you a conversion and sale than praying that shoving your advertisement in their face 80 different ways won't make them simply block you.

    1. 1

Totally agree. The human-to-human mindset is what cuts through the noise now. Treating every prospect, no matter the title, as someone worth a real conversation changes the game. It’s less about channels and more about connection. In 2025, relevance > reach every time.

  3. 1

Great point. When I tried to go broad it confused people and usage was very limited, few conversions. I'm seeing more success in a narrower vertical so i'm pivoting to only target that vertical now

    1. 1

Broad feels safer, but it often leads to diluted messaging and confused prospects. Doubling down on a specific vertical sharpens everything, your copy, offer, and conversion rate. Sounds like a smart pivot! Curious to hear how it’s going after the switch.

  4. 1

Totally agree. The challenge is in finding the distribution channels, narrative/positioning of your idea. Once you find both, you've found the 10 perfectly placed arrows

    1. 1

Distribution without positioning is just noise, and positioning without the right distribution is shouting into a void. :)

  5. 1

I agree, Mitchell. I've worked on a few small SEO and outreach projects, and this resonates with me. It's tempting to go broad and hope for the best, especially when you're just starting or feeling pressure to deliver quick wins. But in reality, the lack of focus wastes time, budget, and energy.

I've found that even a little research into the right audience — understanding their pain points, industry-specific language, and where they congregate — makes outreach so much more effective. Thanks for putting it into perspective with the archer analogy. It's a great reminder that precision always prevails over noise.

    1. 1

Thanks so much for sharing that, I couldn’t agree more. The pressure to deliver quick wins often pushes teams toward activity over accuracy, but as you’ve rightly said, even a bit of intentional research makes a huge difference.

Appreciate you resonating with the archer analogy, feels like we’ve both had our fair share of “spray and pray” lessons!

June 20, 2025 The modern lead generation stack isn't just about tools - it's about building an intelligent ecosystem.

Let me break down the essential layers:

Foundation Layer: Traffic Generation
→ SEO, content marketing, paid ads
→ Social media presence
→ Industry partnerships

Intelligence Layer: Visitor Insights
→ Website visitor identification
→ Engagement tracking
→ Company data enrichment

Action Layer: Automated Outreach
→ Personalized sequences
→ Multi-channel touchpoints
→ Smart timing algorithms

The magic happens when these layers work together:

Your traffic sources feed qualified visitors
Your intelligence layer reveals who they are
Your action layer converts interest into meetings

But here's what most agencies miss: Each layer must reinforce the others. Traffic without intelligence is waste. Intelligence without action is missed opportunity.

Which layer needs the most attention in your stack?

I'm building a vertical SaaS called ZugFlow, designed specifically for local artisans like hairdressers, barbers, beauticians, and similar businesses.

After working on traffic generation (SEO landing pages for each niche, niche FB groups, cold outreach), and tracking user behavior with Supabase, I realized that the biggest bottleneck is the Action Layer — the moment where interest should convert into actual paying users.

    Right now, I'm experimenting with:

    • WhatsApp & email follow-up flows for trial users who don’t complete onboarding

    • Trigger-based messaging depending on engagement level

    • A scoring system to prioritize who gets contacted and when

The insight: traffic and data are only useful if they lead to action. Without structured follow-up, even qualified leads go cold in days.

My goal is 100+ active paying users by December, mostly in Italy for now, before expanding.

Would love to hear from others building vertical SaaS:
How are you handling this middle part of the funnel?
What worked best for your conversion layer?

    Here’s what I’m working on: zugflow.com

I completely agree that an integrated ecosystem is key. What would you say are the absolute essential components of a modern lead generation stack for a startup on a budget?

Great breakdown Mitchell — I fully agree that the real power comes from orchestrating the full stack, not just optimizing isolated tools.

I’ve been building something on a smaller scale but with a very similar principle: automating my own YouTube consumption workflow.

I watch a lot of long-form content (interviews, lectures, podcasts) that I later transform into structured notes, summaries, and insights. The biggest bottleneck was always manually copying transcripts, cleaning them up, and feeding them into my knowledge management system.

So I built a tool that fully extracts transcripts (even across full channels or playlists), exports clean structured data (txt, csv, json), pulls all the video metadata, and integrates easily with Notion or other systems.

Now I’m experimenting with adding a few light AI layers (summarization, tagging, entity extraction) to make this “intelligence layer” smarter before data even hits my notes.

The principle is exactly what you describe: traffic (videos) → intelligence (clean structured data) → action (knowledge extraction & retrieval).

If anyone here deals with heavy video content and knowledge management, happy to share!

  5. 1

I think the most important part for my lead generation is even before the "Foundation Layer"; only if the traffic is meaningful, it's actually interesting traffic for my business. When I was running extensive Reddit Ads, I had a lot of traffic for little money. However, as this traffic was a lot of noise, the conversion rate was actually super low. So, instead, I turned away from broad targeted ads and got much more conversions per dollar from super niche content. And only then the other layers get any meaning. If you have "bad" traffic, both intelligence and action layer become irrelevant imo.
