ProtoWork
Lightweight and Motivating Work Manager App
- Overhauled Task category addition/deletion logic, so that if changes occur within 5 minutes of the last change, the Task history entry cancels itself. Basically allowing adding -> removing without consequences
- Fixed custom user defined Work Hours in settings not updating logged Workdays' net hours
- Improved Task category duplicate validations to avoid adding an existing one once again
Hey there! I have a lot of fun building ProtoWork as a work management tool. It’s mainly intended for remote/office workers. It's free and I'm looking for first users.
One of its main features is that it has a multi-project task manager, meaning you can work on multiple projects at the same time without interruptions. I integrated a Calendar, Workdays logger and a Notepad for convenience, so you can ditch other tools you used without it feeling bloated.
The part I'm proudest of is the motivational system. Most task managers assume you'll stay motivated on your own, but ProtoWork doesn't. It greets you with motivational messages on the first login of the day and reacts to your interactions in the Tasks dashboard. The messages are all handmade.
I’ve been developing it for roughly 2 years, and I don’t plan to stop. Almost every week I push improvements to it.

I juggled between multiple tools when I was working and had trouble staying in momentum. I used other apps but they always felt bloated with unnecessary functionalities. This app brings all of this together.
