Smart Checklist Generator

I’ve been around home renovation projects for a while, especially bathrooms. And I keep seeing the same issue again and again.

Contractors usually know exactly what they’re doing. They have a clear process in their head. Demo. Plumbing. Tiling. Fixtures. Finishing.

But when it comes to explaining that to a customer, it often turns into a rough timeline or a quick conversation.

On the other side, homeowners feel lost. They don’t really know what stage the project is in. Or what comes next. Or why something is delayed.

From their point of view, it can feel unorganized. Even when it’s not.

Bathrooms are a good example. There are a lot of moving parts. Different trades. Tight order of work. One small delay can affect everything.

But without a clear roadmap, it just looks like nothing is happening.

That gap between what contractors know and what customers see is bigger than it should be.

That’s what led me to build a simple tool. A way to turn a process into a clear checklist.

Something you can share with a client. Something they can follow. Something that shows what’s done and what’s next.

I’m calling it a smart checklist generator.

It’s not meant to replace project management tools. It’s just meant to make things clearer for both sides.

Even for something like a bathroom renovation, a simple checklist can reduce confusion a lot.

Still early. Just wanted to share the idea and see if others have noticed the same problem.
