The Room

When I first launched The Room, I led with the six-voice discussion modes: multiple AI perspectives responding to each other in one thread.

But that wasn't actually the original reason I built it.

The original workflow was much simpler: work through something with Claude, move the useful part to GPT, continue there, then bring the useful part back when needed. It worked well, but once a task went several rounds deep, the repeated copy-paste and bookkeeping got tedious.

So I've repositioned The Room around that workflow.

Handoff now comes first: Claude and GPT run in separate conversations, and you decide what crosses between them and when. No automatic shared context, no forced alternation. The point is simply to remove the manual handoff work without changing how you already use the two models.

The original modes are still there — analysis, debate, development, and reflection — but they're secondary now.

I also changed the landing page and onboarding so "Try Handoff" actually drops you straight into Handoff rather than one of the other modes. And since getting work back out shouldn't be another copy-paste chore, I added a one-click export — copy or download — for any conversation, including both sides of a Handoff.

You bring a topic, an idea, a decision, something worth thinking through, and six AI voices with distinct perspectives develop it together in a single thread. They respond to each other, not just to you. The result is closer to a structured discussion than a standard AI conversation.
