Hi IH! Cannot believe I found this community. It's become a daily staple for me and my co-founder.
After reading a few posts on how other IndieHackers got to ramen profitability, it made me really step back and see what we've accomplished so far.
- 50 paid monthly users from practically zero marketing
- A 1,600+ Facebook group that we manage and provide value to each week
- MRR of $1,037 with trial-to-paid conversions happening each week
- 30% Monthly growth (which we're totally going to increase btw!)
My co-founder and I actually met through Instagram as we were both Amazon sellers growing pretty fast. We had the same problems and built a solution that we eventually shared with other sellers which has started to snowball quite a bit.
Although we haven't hit the road to become digital nomads yet, we're incredibly proud of what we've accomplished. Starting a bootstrapped SaaS company has lead to both of us learning A LOT! I now proudly know what an Asymptote is lol.
Here's what we learned starting a SaaS company by solving our own problems - https://www.vendrive.com/blog/building-saas/
As of now, we're actually building a completely new product that will target a much larger audience within our industry that will have a higher price point, much longer customer lifecycle etc...
I'm really wanting to start an article series here on IH about our progress, learnings, and failures. Would anyone be interested in reading that?
