We've launched UNUBO, our first product and documented it all, right here on Indie Hackers.
This marks the final part of our launch journey.
Did you check out the earlier parts of the series, where I wrote in detail how we approached each part, plus results - good and bad?
✅ Part 1: Product Hunt Upcoming (general intro)
✅ Part 1.5: Product Hunt Upcoming (results)
➡️ Part 5: Wrap up
Launching UNUBO has been exciting, a bit stressful, rewarding, fun and so much more.
Indirectly, Indie Hackers was part of the launch of course. My articles were viewed a combined 2800+ times.
In the comments a lot of you left words of encouragement, provided feedback and asked questions - thank you!
I also gained some sign ups from Indie Hackers directly, but in all honesty that is not why I chose to feature this here.
To repeat what I said before, it’s all about sharing our journey with like minded individuals. It’s the kind of content I enjoy reading, so I figured I’d add something of my own.
Here are the actual launches in case you missed them:
Final launch stats 🎉
These do not include TechCrunch.
📈 Pageviews: 10k
👥 Signups: ~500
↪️ Mini-pivot: 1
💥 Database crashes: 3
😃 Great feedback: Lots
😈 Criticisms: Some
I previously mentioned, that a few of our customers upgraded to our paid plan. We have since decided, that a tool to help manage your finances, should be free for consumers.
We are now focused on making a business focused plan for UNUBO, which should see us earn a buck or two (watch this space).
I hope you enjoyed this series and perhaps even learned something - I know I did. I’m currently making the most of our TechCrunch attention, as I’m aware it won't last.
So, there you have it - the launch is done, which concludes this series. Now the real work begins - I will see you around!
I hang out on Twitter, come say "hi" 🖖🏾.
