Your landing page is the first thing your users see and it can affect how they feel about the rest of your website.

If your landing page doesn't look good they may jump ship and move on to another shiny thing that attracts their attention.

In my humble opinion selecting the perfect typeface is the first step to creating a landing page that stands out. Which in turn makes your new users stick around a bit longer.
