I joined this site because the interviews are inspirational and motivational. Reading about the big dogs like Tim Ferris or Noah Kagan is amazing but it's nice to learn about and from less known and established hustlers.
Like the guys from Populum. I really love the fact that two normal guys with no prior industry experience, got together, put a plan in place, executed in an industry that has few examples to follow, and are succeeding at their venture enough to feel confident in discussing how they are making money with the world. It says a lot about those two founders.
As for me, I've been a small business owner/self employed, since 2005. After college I did sales for a software consulting company that serviced Oracle EBS customers, I had one job after college and after 3 years of working within the ERP space I wasn't happy so I pulled an Office Space (movie) and started working for minimum wage in construction.
After several random events, I ended up starting my own business in a completely unrelated field and have been self employed in multiple different industries, ever since.
I hope we all find success in our pursuits and never take for granted being alive in the most incredible time period of our civilization.
