10 equity free acceleration programs with open applications

Hello IndieHackers,

We have put together a list of equity free accelerators with open applications as part of newsletter for one of our sideprojects. You can find the list below:

  1. The UNICEF Innovation Fund (http://unicefstories.org/blockchaincall/), based out of New York, The United States, provides early stage (seed) finance of SD 50K - 90K in equity-free seed funding to for-profit technology start-ups that have the potential to benefit humanity. Selected startups will also receive technical assistance from the UNICEF Ventures team to help validate and improve their solutions. Shortlisted companies will be notified within three months after submission.

  2. Sephora Accelerate (https://www.sephorastands.com/accelerate/) is a month-long program based out of San Francisco, The United States and begins with a one-week bootcamp where founders acquire the necessary skills to create a successful business. Together, startups learn from beauty mentors and seasoned entrepreneurs and prepare for a final Demo Day in the fall. In addition to two all-expense paid trips to San Francisco for program events, startups will receive a monetary grant and may be eligible for additional funding. Applications close on 10th November, 2018.

  3. European Data Incubator (https://edincubator.eu/), an equity free acceleration program based out of Berlin, Germany provides grants of up to EUR $100,000 for successful applicants along with mentoring from experts, workshops and datathons in new markets, free cloud environment for scalable data processing and connects with major European corporates. Applications close on 4th January, 2019.

  4. Spinlab (https://www.spinlab.co/), based out of Leipzig, Germany, has opened applications for its flagship program which offers startups with EUR 6,000 along with co-working space and several other perks. Applications close on 18th November, 2018.

  5. Booking Booster (https://booster.bookingcares.com/#bookingcom-booster-why), a 3-week accelerator program based out of Amsterdam, Netherlands has opened applications for their program. Any scale-up that is seeking a positive impact in sustainable tourism; growth ventures that benefit the environment, preserve or promote cultural heritage, help spread tourism or seek to promote inclusive growth in tourism are eligible to apply. The top scale-ups will be awarded a share of the €2 million fund. Applications close on 2nd December, 2018.

  6. Ikea Bootcamp (http://ikeabootcamp.rainmaking.io/) is a 3 month program organized by Ikea in Älmhult, Sweden. The desired final outcome of the IKEA Bootcamp Program is to explore, test and establish collaborations between participating startups and IKEA. Selected startups will get potential partnership or investments, extended access to IKEA, strategic support, accelerated engagement & case-by-case potential financial support for pilots. Applications close on 31st December, 2018.

  7. Startup Hub: Poland Prize (http://startuphub.pl/), a 4 month program based out of Warsaw, poland provides equity free funding of upto EUR 50K for selected teams besides providing international leads to top influencers, mentors, media and industry insiders.

  8. The Pearse Lyons Accelerator (https://pearselyonsaccelerator.com/), based out of Dublin, Ireland is run by Alltech, an agricultural science company. 10 AgTech startups from across the world will be selected to participate in a 4-month programme offering 15K EUR equity free funding, space, mentoring and the opportunity of investment. Applications close on 6th December, 2018.

  9. StateZero Labs (https://www.statezerolabs.com/), a dedicated Blockchain Lab for startups based out of London, The United Kingdom, will be accepting six selected startups as part of its first cohort. Startups selected to be in the first cohort will each receive up to GBP 50K in the form of an equity free grant, cost-free office space, mentoring and one-to-one technical support from world-class blockchain developers to learn how to utilise StateZero Labs’ dedicated PLUG blockchain technology. Applications close on 23rd November, 2018.

  10. The Stable Fund (https://stable.fund/) is a virtual investment fund started by L4, in partnership with MakerDAO. It helps startups using the Dai Stablecoin System with business development, financing, and strategic introductions. It offers equity free grants (up to USD 25k) to alpha projects and equity funding up to $200k for projects further ahead.

    In case anyone is wondering more about the process on applying, I've been through 3 equity-free programs. I can speak to how equity-free programs differ from the traditional accelerator model, and how that impacts your application process.

    I actually met @p12dpraneeth at one of the accelerators. I'm so happy you started Your First Investor as a side project. I've referred a ton of friends to your site man!
