36 Hour Side Project: FindThyPeeps.com
I came up with an outreach strategy for which I need to build myself a Twitter tool. Since it's so simple, why not make it publicly available? Shouldn't take more than a day or so.
I bought findthypeeps.com a few minutes ago.
Why? Someone asked me a week ago who my target audience was (for my main project). I answered "basically a hybrid of Tim Ferriss fans and Seth Godin fans." This tool finds those people so that I can focus my outreach toward people who might care.
What? Finds twitter accounts that follow 2 or more of the specified accounts (you can specify up to 5 accounts). You'll then get emailed a CSV with a report with the results. The CSV would include Twitter info about each peep, and also boolean fields showing whether they did or didn't follow the accounts you care about. You're then free to sort this data however you want.
Would anybody use this?

That tool sounds very promising! I would love to give it a try, as I'm seemingly in some kind of similar position that you're in. I'm trying to launch a new product soon, but I have no network so far and I really try to find some people, that my product could be useful to.

I plan to showcase my product in the upcoming weeks, I just would like to make some more preparations until then. :-)

Interesting. I'd definitely check it out once you have the MVP. At the moment i don't have a concrete use for it, but i can see its potential and how it could be useful for others.

I like that this works to build a relationship with you outside of IH and you get to share about other projects you've got going.
