DesignThingy is an on-demand design to HTML/CSS conversion service and existing website improvisation service for Indie makers, startups, and agencies.
If you are thinking:
Sketch can export design files in HTML/CSS and there are also plugins and apps out there to do this job, then why should I choose you?
Then I want to say that you are absolutely right! There are tools and apps to convert the design to HTML/CSS but these tools don't deliver you fully responsive, error-free, clean coded, pixel perfect, fully cross-browser compatible, hand-coded template. But we do! This makes us different from them.
I would love to know what do you think about https://designthingy.co/
Site and pricing look great, definitely will be considering using the service very soon!
Also added you to the top of the development section at https://servicelist.io/!
Hi Moe... not trying to hijack @saurominati's thread.
Where do you think my service (https://paintedreality.io) would fit in servicelist? It's not quite graphic design... but that's probably the closest category.
I'm glad you liked it!! And thanks for listing us on servicelist.io!!
This is really cool. I'm using Adobe Muse right now to convert Sketch files into html/css and then hand-fixing stuff. The generated html/css code is a mess and I'd love to use this as an alternative. Curious, is this all done by a program or hourly done by you guys? (or a combination of both)
We do the entire conversion manually and don't use any of the programs or apps at any stage.
To be honest with you I feel you're undercharging for what should be a premium service. $59 for 2-3 days work? Come on. Businesses will pay a lot more than that which will:
a) give you a lot more income potential
b) allow you to work more effectively without feeling like you're on a treadmill
c) place a value on your service
d) allow you to employ people to do more work (and thus expand) while still affording to live.
You should be competing on quality rather than lower prices.
Thank you Steve for your valuable suggestion!! And believe me, we don't compromise on quality. I also want to mention that we had discussed the pricing for an entire month before launching our website. We did a small research on new startup's website design trends and had noticed that new startups are using simple, lean and straight-forward designs that only takes a couple of hours to convert by a developer of our experience level. That means currently we can handle multiple $59 orders every day. We have mentioned time frame of 1-3 days on our website which is much higher than actual time required because we wanted to create a healthy buffer for testing and handling multiple orders at different time zones. We will revise our pricing once we grow at a certain point but at this point, we feel it is fair for both.
Looks great!
Small typing error, in the pricing tables i think you meant "improvement" of the existing websites, not "improvisation".
Thanks for letting us know about it!!
A perfectly sensible proposition!
Congratulations for the launch!
Thanks, omar!!
Website looks great, congrats on the launch! So with 'Simple' plan, one page costs only $6 to convert to HTML/CSS? Do you evaluate each design case by case to determine whether it's simple enough to be financially viable for you to take upon? What do you do with more complex designs that exceed the threshold?
You're absolutely right!! We will evaluate each design case and determine the appropriate plan for them. We have experienced that most of the startups and indie makers use simple to moderate design complexity with repeating sections and basic information pages like t&d, privacy etc. This kind of designs takes less time to convert. If the design is too complex then for those we have a "complex plan" which is a custom plan, starting from $299.
Wow, Congratulation saurabh!!
Thanks, mangesh!!
