Answering Pieter Levels: what can you learn from correlations?

    Sometimes the problem is one of too broad a classification of results, especially when you are talking about food and the quality of the original produce.

    I'm not a scientist but as a technical programmer have worked closely with them for years, which along with decades of debugging, has honed my instinct for looking deeper.

    Omega3 supplementation is a great example - there was a great members-only article about this on Medium recently https://medium.com/s/story/the-truth-about-fish-oil-644d1ec2f812 about the ratio of omega3 to omega6 and how this varies in eggs from different countries.

    Maybe this could be seen as a confounder issue but I think of it as poor modeling - one original variable is actually multiples combined.
