Any experience using sales as a service to grow your user count?

Does such a thing exist and has anyone used a service like this? My startup is fairly straightforward I could demo the points of interest to a sales team easily then let them ramp up the sales cycle. I'd like to increase my cold calling/email efforts so it's not just me and my spreadsheet of contacts but a team that can work through many more potential leads.
