Any suggestions for a platform/solution for creating a simple landing page?

I've always struggled to find a decent platform to launch a simple landing page to collect e-mail and see the potential when I have an idea in my mind. I've tried launchrock.com in the past but I can't say that I liked them.

What do you use? Do you have any suggestions?

Hey, we just launched a service for similar needs, try this:

    https://cmngsn.com

You can create site in few minutes and collect leads too. Also don't hesitate to give a feedback. Thanks!

It took me longer than it should have to figure out that domain name.

Sorry, I had to delete my account (and subsequently my comment) but I'll post it again.

I've used www.landen.co [1] to create my landing page for my project, https://www.getartemis.app, but I'm looking to migrate it to www.unicornplatform.com [2]. Both have good levels of WYSIWYG customization for adding sections like "pricing" or "contact us", and integrations like Google Analytics and Mailchimp.

I haven't used www.carrd.co [3] but it seems to be pretty simple as well.

As a bonus, all three are by fellow Indie Hackers :)

Thanks for the mention! What can I improve to keep you?

Hey no problem! I would say that while it looks and performs nicely, with free hosting to boot, there are some areas where it could be improved.

It's a little too inflexible in some cases. For example, I want to add an email form / CTA anywhere on the page but I can only do that on the hero section. I wanted to add the email form in the end of the page but the closest is a contact us form, which asks for fields like name that I don't necessarily need. Perhaps split out the components even more and then users can put them together? You can have pre-built sections comprising of preselected components. For example, the contact us could have the components of email field, name field, message field. Users could edit or make their own custom sections as well.

Also, I recently asked for a Mixpanel integration which I'm glad you're taking a look at integrating, but perhaps we can submit our own custom JS for other trackers, instead of having you do the integration manually for each new one.

These are the two that stick out most to me. Landen is a great product, it has lots of potential to be one of the best landing page creators. Let me know what you think.

Awesome, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm getting back into the update cycle so a lot of great stuff is on the way. Everything you mentioned is already on the list!

      +1 for Carrd. It's such a delightfully well-designed product.

    You might wanna try unbounce.com

A bit off-topic question but those who use such services, do they make pages which you host on your own site and they give you a subdomain url?

I'll have to recommend elegantthemes.com and their Divi builder if using WordPress. Multiple landing pages options with easy customization. If you need help with the page, let me know - no strings attached. Good luck.

I bought a reseller account with shared hosting and just reuse the same template I built change an image and some wording etc..

If you're looking to do something quick 'n dirty, but elegant & easily trackable, I'd advocate for Unbounce. And if you plan o monetize it in future find a reliable webhosting provider beforehand. https://zomro.net/ - Check out this site for great customer service, affordable prices, and excellent web hosting plans. I have been using their service since last one year.
