Good idea to put a product explainer video on the landing page? If yes, any tools to help me make this?
Have added an example animator video though not exactly but will give you an idea (also it's a really cool one by Ray Dalio, so you might just give it a watch!)
Thanks in advance!
You said 'explainer' not tutorials, here is how I do them.
I like using animation with voiceover. In the past I used goanimate.com which is now https://www.vyond.com/
1 - I write the script first
2 - Then create the animation (easier to iterate on script than animation)
3 - Finally add the voiceover as I do not use the auto generated voice.
I have created 10-20 vids and worked really well. My current startup was funded based on validation using one of the videos.
Here are a couple of examples

For the voiceovers I typically use fivver
This is awesome! Thanks Pete!
Thanks - hope it's helpful
Have used www.powtoon.com for one project.
Also, www.biteable.com looks promising.
Thanks a ton! This is perfect!!
if you're into whiteboard explainers, this tool does the job https://www.videoscribe.co/en/
This fits, thanks for sharing Mike :)
rock on! good luck with the creation
Soapbox by Wistia (https://wistia.com/soapbox/) and Loom (https://www.useloom.com/) are both super useful and do things slightly differently. Both are free to start, too!
Thanks Dan! Will check these out :)
Camtasia does a great job at screen recording and video editing.
Unfortunately not looking at Screen capture but more like an explainer video since mine isn't a web/app! Thanks though :)
I'm putting together one of these right now. I simply used quicktime to record my screen and then Imovie to mix it together. That's Mac only, but it's getting the job done just fine.
I’d suggest Adobe After Effects, but I’m not sure whether that’s what you’re asking for
This is more like an editing tool right?
It’s a motion graphics software, but it’s something you’d have to learn. It’s a professional tool. You won‘t create videos in seconds with this.
Ah someday hopefully, thanks though :)
