You mention on your page that you also collect rent. I assume you use something like PayPal or Stripe? If that's the case. How do you present the 2.9% fee coming off each charge?
Hi Matthew - I do use stripe to manage recurring rent payments. Stripe's ACH processing is capped at $5, that amount can either be assumed by the landlord or passed onto the tenant each month. I don't allow rent collection via credit cards currently.
Hey @mikemey01 I'm a Front End Developer, I want to collaborate.
Awesome product! I've been a landlord before, and would have loved finding something like this.
One caveat is that I don't think you're charging enough. Maybe make it free for 1 property and charge $15-30 for 2-5(~10) properties?
Either way, love the look of your product!
Hi Rich - Thanks! I'm playing around with the pricing to find the sweet spot. for now the most important product development has come from feedback provided by current landlords so the more landlords I can get on board now the better the product will be down the road.

Your menu button doesn't work for me here on iOS Chrome, so I can't click through to pricing- what does it cost?
Thanks for showing interest!
I haven't started selling yet, so prices aren't listed.
I'm actually interested in feedback on that.
My plan is to have life time memberships eventually cost $200, but to work up to that. So, for example, maybe the first 100 users only pay $10 and the next 900 $20.
Any thoughts?
Hmm. Personally I don't see myself paying 200$ for some random unknown untested internet place. If I did test it several months and found out useful, then I wouldn't mind.
This might interest you:
https://brilliant.org/
Agreed.
Of course, that's why I proposed a graduated price. The people who take a gamble early pay $10, not $200, for lifetime access.
I also like the idea of letting people try it out, but probably in a controlled way -- like free to all students of particular classes.
Sounds fair.

Hey, Courtney! Thanks for the feedback :)
I curate the lists myself. Some of the resources are those that I visit very often and the rest are sourced from discussions here on IH and from Twitter as well.

Thank you, and Great work, I've been using elixir and phoenix for the past month for my project. So I been using yours and various other sites for reference on how to do things.
Thanks for the kind words!
Can you remember how you first found my site? I've had really good retention but a lot of people don't find it until after they've already learned the basics of Elixir. I've been thinking about changing marketing strategies.
I found you by looking for tutorials of phoenix on youtube. I tend to learn better with visual. Not sure exactly what I was looking for. I was playing around with learning phoenix/elixir at beginning of the year when I found you but switching from oop programming was hurting my brain. So I put it off until I decided to force myself to learn it for this project.
Thank you!

Working on 3 projects right now!
I'm the Head Buff at WP Buffs, a 24/7 WordPress website maintenance service for serious website owners and white-label partners. Whether you're looking after 1 site or 1000, they've got your back!
I'm also launching WPMRR, a robust video course that teaches WordPress professionals how to implement, sell and execute ongoing care plans for their clients and increase their revenue every single month.
Finally, along with WPMRR, we're launching The WPMRR WordPress podcast entirely focused on growing successful WordPress businesses and monthly recurring revenue without taking itself too seriously.
Technically this is 3 different projects, but they definitely over-lap. WPMRR is pretty much open-sourcing WP Buffs for agencies and freelancers. Plus it should drive leads to our white-label program so that's a win too. Hoping they all work in synergy. Boom!
I'm currently working on https://www.moneysite.com - Insights about building profitable online businesses
https://opstales.com/ -- business process outsourcing agency
Think back-office tasks that need to be done but are repetitive / process-oriented and do not require high skill level. Transition this work from in-house peeps to the OpsTales outsourced team to save time and $$
I am working on a similar concept, but am wondering how you deploy your product? This is aimed at product/department owners within larger companies. So after you develop a tool/processor for the repetative task, how do you get it deployed and installed without having said owner need to approach corporate IT Service?
I'm approaching it from a manual labor direction, not tech solutions.
There is work that companies need people to do, not everything can be automated esp for older industries. But its repetitive and time-consuming. So it's about transitioning that work to my team so that the client's team can stop spending time on it.
I build out manual processes, the training materials on how to do it, then hire a team and train/manage them to do the ongoing manual work. It drops the cost of the work by up to 87% depending on how expensive the employees are.
My advice based on what you said: If you're looking to sell tech solutions and don't want there to be a large chain of approvals, it needs to be very easy to implement - minimal engineering time - and it needs to be cheap. It sounds like it would be hard to not involve IT services though if it needs to be implemented.

https://askadragon.app Human Intelligence Task, visual QA, fact checks, and your homework done for free.
The site is not deployed yet, the early alpha version (once you get past the bugs) is kicking up a storm. Here's how it works: You ask the dragons questions or do something for you and they try their best to fulfill it. Other dragons will vote on your task and the solution or answer itself (heavy penalties included)
The site is run by bots and humans working in harmony. It originally started as a joke from /r/theydidthemath and /r/Random_Acts_Of_Pizza where we tried to answer ridiculous questions and fact check some content and soon evolved into a task runner, fact checker, and concierge service.
For monetization we're experimenting with gold. Dragons love gold but they are a one-way investment.
p.s. it is a side project. It'll launch in Q2 of 2019 but mostly as a free fact check service (limited features)
p.p.s we'll be implementing "some" safety protocols. We've already seen some assassination requests and things I really wouldn't want to discuss here. We have such lovely alpha testers.

Tried it out for a few minutes.. it looks great, nice job! I got mixed up with the save/cancel buttons on the right at first. Wasn't sure whether 'x' meant cancel or delete, or if I was applying to the heading or the body. So it took a bit of getting used to. On my screen (using a desktop right now) it was pretty wide, so a lot of mouse motion needed. I like that you have "save on enter" implemented in most places.
It'll be very useful when you get to the sharing functionality! I could see it being useful for collaboration on projects or just note taking.
Wow, cool. Thanks for checking it out! Yeah, really struggling with usability (not the best UX/designer haha).
Really appreciate the feedback! Sharing is top of my list, but I've been putting it off. That and a great API so developers can use it to store whatever they want.

PipeGears http://pipegears.com lets you create and run REST APIs and Web backends in minutes by snapping them together from a rich set of prebuilt components.

I just released the public beta last week and am very interested in any type of feedback!
Absolutely love it. Can't wait to find some time in the coming week to work up a project that's been on the shelf for too long.
Thank you! Followed you so I'll get the news about your project :)
Cool! I really like the no code/infrastructure movement. Are you targeting frontend developers similar to firebase? Asking because the first thing I think about is having pre-defined tools (kind of like form mail tools, but could be more) that generate drop-in code on websites for less technical users. Not trying to mess with your MVP, of course. Just sprang to mind :)
That's an interesting suggestion.. I'd considered building sample backend apps and making them importable, then building frontends for them and just publishing the code on github, as starting points or examples. I like the drop-in code idea though.
Yes, I'm targeting frontend developers.. Do you think the messaging and tool are tuned right for that target? Thanks!
I think it's pretty good messaging, based on my brief view.
I do a lot of frontend dev, but I'm far from in-the-loop with all the tech available, so I'm not sure how your offer compares to something like firebase.
My first thought was "How would you deal with authentication/authorization?" But I may have glossed over that detail.
I assume you've thought of some example use cases and make sure it covers the bases. Maybe you could publish an example or something to clarify how it all fits together. Like a to do list or something?
That's a great idea.. I've got a sample "shopping list" app sort of ready to go that I could publish.
That sounds perfect. I want to make a video tutorial for my app. I think something that catches visitor attention and spells out ease of use is important to developers :) Also like the video already on your site.
You've provided the first feedback on my app, so thanks :). If you'd like, I can find some time over the next couple weeks or so to try using yours and provide some feedback as well.
That would be great! Let me know if there's anything I can do to help in return. I'd be happy to help you out!
Sent you an e-mail :)
