Epics: 20 new Crammut accounts created by the end of September
Yesterday: Everything prepared for my Product Hunt Launch
Today: Product Hunt launching (It has been a disaster hahaha I'll talk about soon about that. But anyways... https://www.producthunt.com/posts/crammut ).
Tomorrow: Study my next marketing moves for my SaaS and my gamification company.

I really love the Library feature, how did you put together all the content?. Also, really surprising that you guys didn't make it to top 5 on PH.
I've forgotten to tell you about the library! We just checked on the Internet some youtube lists, interviews where experts recommended books and stuff, and of course personal experience with books, blogs, and online lectures. But we want to focus on the tool and not on the content. We want that our learning paths work as examples of what a user can craft for himself/herself. Thanks for the feedback :P
We think we fuck up the PH algorithm. We're bootstrapping so we receive a lot of support from families and friends. When they saw in social media that we were launching on PH and that it was a big opportunity for us, they sign up and upvote Crammut (it's very easy to signup, you only need two clicks to do it). And we think that was our downfall. When we check who voted us we find a lot of accounts without any activity but our upvote. I'll write a post about that very soon, I think it's a good lesson and everybody can learn about our disaster hahaha
Anyways, we've received cool feedback and people help us to find some issues that need to be solved, so maybe we're relaunching on PH in two months.
Best of luck with the Product Hunt launch! I love the design of your product too!
We want to earn enough money to print a lot of stickers with our illustrations hahaha They are beautiful. Thanks for the feedback, Travis :)
That looks beautiful! Not trying to mess with your MVP, but when I was watching your video, it reminded me of when I was starting at a big tech company. We had a 6 month ramp-up time for new engineers because there was so much material to cover. This seems like it could help improve that process.
Good luck! Hope your PH launch improves :)
Thanks, Andrew! Yeah, this can be perfect for that companies because the gameful design can motivate employees to be more agile covering materials. And it's fun! Thanks for the feedback :P
LOVE your illustrations (and the overall design, too). This is the kind of design I expect to see from a super successful startup... so hopefully that holds true ;)
Best of luck on PH. Never done that before, but sounds exciting!
Thanks a lot Patrick! =D Yeah, our designer is awesome! In fact, now he's working on Facebook. They saw his work and fell in love with him!
I like your design, Adventure Time-style it's perfect for gamification. Can you give me the name for such design concept, or is your freestyle design?
Thanks! =D Yeah! we love it too! I don't know if there is a name for that design concept. I've just asked our designer. I'll reach you when I get an answer ;)
Amazing design, really well done
Thanks Ryan! Glad you like it :P
(Laughing!) I think it's safe to write that your marketing site is universally love. Kudos. It's beautiful. Did your designer do the illustrations as well?
And how many (new) accounts as of today?
Thanks! =D Yeah, our designer is AWESOME. He made the UX, the UI, and the illustrations. In fact, he's working now on Facebook and we're very happy for him, he deserves the best!
Yesterday 36 new accounts were created, but a lot of them were just curious people from IH and PH, not "real leads" hahaha but it's okay too :)
That's a damn good start!
(Smiling) Your designer wouldn't happen to know any illustrators that specialize in a retro style, would he?
Awesome concept and logo and design my man. Can you share the freelancer who did the video? I'm launching an iPhone app (not in your niche) and would love for them to work on it.
Hey Travis! Thanks for the feedback :P I've made the video. I worked as a videomaker some years ago. Email me some details, maybe I can help ;)
Awesome design! Upvoted it best of luck! (product hunt page was a bit "confusing" for me to understand the concept but understood right away on your website. I think the cards feature since its displayed first might have taken away the main focus of the product. (might just be me)
Thank you, Ali! =D
Epics:

✓ Users are able to view any first chapter of any author.
✓ Users are able to view any author of any teaser.
✓ Users are able submit a second chapter for any first chapter.
Users are able to accept a second chapter for any the first chapter they've written.
(Stretch Epic) Two users are able to add additional chapters privately.
Yesterday: Finished coding design for submissions received.
Today: Finish wiring view for submissions received. And stretch goal, start working on logic re whether a submission is expired or accepted.
Work in Progress: https://app.happyendin.gs
I'm checking Happyending. It's quite fun haha
Thank you, kind sir!
Thank you for yout sharing Harlem! What about horror genre? I know it's strange to have horror genre in your concept but your analitycs will show you if this will be an option.
I've no doubt you're right ... but I'll admit I'm scared of the possible ramifications. In terms of liability, that genre seems like the perfect grab bag!
Thanks for checking out my site and if you've other recommendations, I'd love to read 'em!
Heeeeeello folks!
My kinda-epic epic:
By the end of this September, I want to ship two very important yet secret features to Makerlog. I also want to grow user count by 100 more (in slow increments).
Today I've...
Researched marketing strategies for Makerlog.
Read today's log on it.
Got on Indie Hackers
Tomorrow I will...
Continue marketing (I market during the week and code during the weekend mostly.)
Kudos to...
@peterthaleikis, @Booligoosh, @woksepp, and many more for helping out with Makerlog!
And of course, to all the awesome users that make up the community!
Work in Progress
My work in progress is an app that helps people share their works in progress.
Makerlog
Welcome! I look forward to the two secret features at the end of this month!
My project is a website generator for Acupuncturists - https://www.acupuncturepages.com - marketing site down at the moment.
Epic:
Accomplished Yesterday:
Will Accomplish Today:
Ooh. What framework are you using for the front end? And what inspired you to target Acupuncturists?
The front end is a mix of React and handlebars templates. I chose acupuncturists since I have two connections in that industry that are my beta customers. I also got the idea for this from an existing website builder in that industry.
Epic by end of September:
✓ New feature that allows people with an audience to connect with companies that have generous referral programs.
Verify this feature is valuable to our prospective customers
Yesterday:
Added a landing page to capture interested affiliates
Wrote a survey to give us the information we need to verify the audience of the prospective affiliate.
Today:
Thanks to @harrywhelchel letting me bounce this idea off him a couple months ago.
Work in Progress: linkmink.com/affiliate-brand-matching
@philipalexander glad to be helpful!!!
Sweet side hustle! How do you find the folks with the audiences?
Epic: Finish all 7 features on my current landing page, none of which are ready now.
Yesterday: Created a friendly payment flow, then setup Stripe, then made my first sale! Holy crap that felt so good. I was not expecting a sale for a while.
Today: I want to finish the primary feature which is the ability to check-in daily. This means letting a member pick a timezone, only prompting him to check-in if he hasn't done so already, recording a short video, and capturing text. All in a fun-to-use way hopefully.
Work in Progress: https://showuply.com
7 features! (Laughing!) Only in IH di I feel like a slacker! Can't wait to see what you make happen! (And great illustrations on your landing page!
Ha. Most of the 7 are related to each other somehow, so it's really not THAT much development work.
Thanks re: the illustrations, though I can't take the credit. I bought them from getcraftwork.com.
Yesterday: built a map using a better editor to improve the UI. Looked into an LLC.
Today: add logo, get paperwork for LLC in the mail.
Thanks for joining! I look forward to hearing tomorrow how the logo and paperwork went!
Epic: Create an awesome blank-screen user experience. What shows when the users first registers and everything is empty.
Today: Create logic to completely remove user. Remove my user and start from scratch.
Is this logic due to the GDPR mandates? (And welcome!)
No this is just for me, and the users of course. GDPR is another beast altogether, but I don't need to deal with it for my first beta
