Hey guys! I love this community and would love to connect with other indie hackers in my local area. I had an idea, this is how it works. Find the reply to this post with the country you live in (if it isn't there reply with the country you live in.) Then find the reply to the country with the state/provinces you live in (if it isn't there reply with the state/provinces you live in.) Then find the reply to the state/provinces with the city you live in (if it isn't there reply with the city you live in.) Then introduce yourself to the other Indie Hackers in your area by replying to the city you live in. Can't wait to connect with the Hackers in my area!
Should look something like this

you could do other things as well - like support a maker by doing tasks that makers need done.
free advice for the maker.
free backlinks.
free meals :)
free phone calls to wake them up.
community driven customer support for the maker and so on :)
great initiative.
Karan, this is a really great idea. Thanks for suggesting. I'll definitely implement it.
Also, a leaderboard with points (where 1 point = helping out with a task/backing a maker financially or in other ways) to encourage backers who support makers, would be a good idea, wouldn't it?

How about asking the IH team to add a field in our profile for location and then option to allow sharing location and then to create a map view of where each user is?
Why are we finding such tweaks to get more information. Has IH stopped any further feature development?

You need to create indiehackers.com/locations which auto-generates a page in this threaded format ;)
oh cool...just saw... also there is a option to filter products by location, i guess we just need a feature to filter IH'ers by location too. Or a map visual would be super cool and functional...
