From a freelance designer to launching a subscription-based design service.
Hello IndieHackers,
My name is Abhijeet, and I started designmonk on 1st sep 2018.
-What is designmonk?
It's a simple design service to help you with the landing page, dashboards, presentations, and digital designs. It's monthly flat-rate, unlimited and affordable.
-Why design service? And why not developing or starting something innovative?
In the beginning, I was also thinking the same, And I was going through all the various products and the services out there to bring something innovative to the world.
But someone told me once that "it doesn't matter what business you start, what matters most is you should know what you are best at, have guts and start it."
-First 8 Days learnings.
1: Clients? Yep, The very first question after going live was "How am I going to get clients?". 🤑
2: Scared feeling in stomach 😨
3: Promotion Promotion Promotion 👀
4: Learning email marketing 👨💻
5: Focus and self-discipline 🙄
I would love to work with the IH community on design projects and give them fantastic service and amazing support.

As a freelance designer, the thought of offering my clients an "all you can eat" subscription service scares the hell out of me. I would love to hear how you're planning on scaling up the job of being a designer and in particular, dealing with the bottleneck of client revisions.

Wow, those plans! Very nice! Definitely love to see services like this. And certainly justifiable with the pricing! $249/month is literally just $8/day. Not bad for those startups and small businesses looking to save a ton of money.
